Negros shootfest winners awarded


The City of San Carlos hosted the Governor Bong and Mayor Rene-Negros Shootfest, Best of the Best with six stages 140-round minimum, at the Brgy. Palampas firing range Sunday.

At least 80 shooters joined the event where winners received P3,000 for the champion, P2,000 for the 1st runner-up, and P1,000 for the 2nd runner-up, and trophies.

Champions in different individual categories under the Production Division include Miguel Alisaje for the Civilian Category, Jabu Areglo – Production Lawman, Kiki Silverbrave – Production Lady, Rosales Adonis – Production Senior, Junan Guinanao – Production LGU, and Renbert Gustilo – Production Optics.

For the Standard Division, champions include Keith Owen Teovisio for Civilian Category, Nikko Fernandez – Standard Lawman, Zhanae Yulo – Standard Lady, Gary Buaron – Standard Senior, and Rhomar Villarosa – Standard LGU.

Meanwhile, champions for the Classic Division were Justine De Leon – Civilian Category, Willie Pesase – Classic Lawman, Dan Agting – Classic Senior, Frank Garcia – Classic Mega-senior, and Henjie Dela Victoria – Classic LGU.

Junjun Paolo was the champion for Pistol Caliber Carbine, Christian Yap for Open, and Noli Yu for Open Senior category, the city said.

San Carlos City Mayor Renato Gustilo and Vice Mayor Christopher Paul Carmona thanked the shooters for their participation and said they are hoping that they would attend more shootfests in the city soon.
