The municipalities of E.B. Magalona and Pontevedra in Negros Occidental welcomed new police chiefs on Tuesday, Sept. 1.
PCapt. Armel Lasap assumed command of the E.B. Magalona Municipal Police Station as officer-in-charge (OIC), succeeding PCapt. Jyan Carlo Mania.
PCapt. Wendell John de Guzman was designated as OIC of Pontevedra Municipal Police Station.
PCol. Dennis Wenceslao, police provincial director of Negros Occidental, presided over the assumption of office ceremonies held at Camp Alfredo M. Montelibano Sr. in Bacolod City.
He reminded the new OICs to lead with commitment and strengthen police-community partnerships for a safer and more peaceful Negros Occidental.
On Aug. 25, PLt. Col. Antonio Benitez was also designated as police chief of Escalante City Police Station. | GPB
