More than a peso per liter increase is expected on Oct. 24, after oil companies announced an all-price hike over the weekend.

Diesel will increase by P1.30 to P1.50 per liter, gasoline by P0.90 to P1.10/L, and kerosene by P1.20 to P1.40/L. The exact adjustments will be known today, Oct. 23.

This will be the second week of price increase for gasoline, and the first for diesel and kerosene, following mixed movements Oct. 17, at P0.55/L, P0.95/L, and P0.95/L, respectively, to reflect changes in the international oil market.

Meanwhile, the Department of Energy Visayas Field Office said in an advisory recently that it only accepts payment for the issuance of LPG License to Operate and Liquid Fuels Certificate of Compliance through postal money order, manager’s check, and cashier’s check, as well as in-person payment in its office.

“The DOE-Visayas does not authorize nor accept payment through online apps, like GCash, or payment centers like 7-11,” the advisory stressed. “We advise applicants to remit only payment for processing fees after receiving the Order of Payment from our office, either issued in person or emailed directly to the applicant. We do not call to instruct payment.” | CGC
