MassKara dancers ready for performance in Hong Kong

The Bacolod City Tourism Development Office conducted a pre-event briefing with Barangay Granada officials and MassKara Festival dancers Feb. 6, in preparation for their participation in the 2024 Cathay International Chinese New Year (CNY) in Hong Kong on Feb. 10 to 12.

The reigning MassKara Festival street-dance champion group Barangay Granada is the sole representative of the Philippines, and will join other international performing groups from the USA, Australia, New Zealand, China, Germany, Spain, Italy, Japan, Korea, and Netherlands during the CNY Night Parade in Hong Kong on Feb. 10.

The city said the Hong Kong Tourism Board fully supports the international travel and performance of the 40-strong Bacolod contingent, that left for Hong Kong Feb. 8.

The Bacolod MassKara dancers are scheduled to perform on Feb. 10. The three-day Cathay International Chinese New Year celebration will also feature local group performers and a float parade.
