The pump prices of petroleum products will increase this week, with upward changes for diesel by P1.60 to P1.80 per liter, gasoline by P0.70 to P0.90/L, and kerosene by P1.70 to P2/L.
The exact adjustments will be known today, June 17.
Total adjustments for gasoline and diesel stood at a net increase of P6.05/liter and P4.25/liter, respectively; while kerosene logged a net decrease of P1.55 per liter since the start of this year.
This was after oil companies rolled back the prices of gasoline, diesel, and kerosene by P0.60, P1.20, and P1.30 per liter, respectively, effective June 11, the Department of Energy Oil Monitor showed.
Meanwhile, the DOE said it received reports of fraudulent activities involving an individual named John Rick Salcedo, who is using the mobile number 09668210034, and is using the name of Secretary Raphael Lotilla to solicit money from energy service companies (ESCO).
“We advise the public, particularly the industry participants, that such acts are not authorized nor tolerated by Secretary Lotilla, and to immediately report the matter, or any similar unscrupulous acts, through DOE telephone no. 8479-2900 or email at infocenter@doe.gov.ph,” the DOE said in an advisory.
The DOE reiterates its adherence to the Code of Conduct and Ethical Standards for Public Officials and Employees, or Republic Act 6713, which prohibits officials and employees from soliciting money.
All persons misrepresenting themselves to be authorized by or associated with the DOE, or any of its officials, shall be dealt with in accordance with the law, the advisory added. | CGC
