More than P700,000 worth of illegal drugs were seized by the police during a buy-bust on Feb. 1 at Purok Hollow Blocks in Barangay Singcang-Airport, Bacolod City.
The arrest of suspect alias Jojo, 45, was a result of the joint effort of the Philippine National Police Drug Enforcement Group Special Operations Unit-Western Visayas and Police Station 8.
Seized from the suspect were about 105 grams of suspected shabu valued at P714,000 and non-drug items, including the marked money, according to a statement issued by the Police Regional Office-6.
In Calatrava, Negros Occidental, a drug suspect, whose identity was also withheld by the police, was arrested during a buy-bust in Barangay Suba.
He yielded 0.08 gram of suspected shabu, marked money of P500 and P45 in cash.
Meanwhile, a female person with disability was arrested by the police on Jan. 31 in Barangay Gomez, Pontevedra, which yielded a caliber .38 revolver with four ammunition. | GB
