Senator Ronald de la Rosa joined many others in extending assistance to the residents of the third district, particularly those residing in E.B. Magalona, cities of Victorias, Silay and Talisay, who were hit twice by flashfloods within the first two weeks of 2021.
Rep. Francisco Benitez thanked Dela Rosa for sending 40 sacks of rice, in coordination with the National Food Authority.
Benitez said that the rice assistance were distributed to the affected families through the Department of Social Welfare and Development.
He also thanked earlier Mayor Evelio Leonardia for the P3.5-million financial assistance to be extended by the Bacolod City government, with Victorias, Silay and Talisay expecting to receive P1 million each, and E.B. Magalona, P500,000.
Senator Francis Pangilinan also extended relief goods to the affected families in Barangay 19-A in Victorias, among the numerous donors. – GB
