The minor, who was reported missing June 27 after going for a swim with siblings and friends in a river in Purok Santos, Brgy. Zone 15, Talisay City, Negros Occidental, was found dead Wednesday, June 28.
According to a report of the City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office, the body of the 12-year-old girl was found at the Matab-ang River in Hacienda Santa Maria 1, Talisay City.
The victim was reported to have drowned after she went swimming with her two older siblings and friends, initial reports said.
The search and retrieval operations of the Talisay CDRRMO were also joined by the Philippine Coast Guard and Bureau of Fire Protection personnel./GB
