A series of buy-bust and entrapment operations in Negros Occidental on Tuesday led to the arrest of a minor and 12 other suspects and the recovery of three firearms and about P280,000 worth of suspected shabu.
The biggest haul was made by the police in Barangay 9, Victorias City, where a certain Taboy, 58, yielded 20 grams of suspected shabu valued at P136,000, a caliber .38 revolver, and P1,000 in marked money.
Two other suspects were arrested in a twin buy-bust in Barangays Luna and Caduha-an in Cadiz City that resulted in the confiscation of 4.2 grams of suspected shabu worth P28,560 and a caliber .38 revolver with three ammunition.
The apprehension of a minor and three other drug suspects, whose identities were also withheld by the police, in San Enrique town and Talisay City led to the recovery of seven grams of suspected shabu and two grams of dried marijuana leaves worth P47,000 and a caliber .38 revolver with five ammunition.
Three more drug suspects were arrested by the police in a buy-bust at Purok Paraiso, Barangay Hilamonan, Kabankalan City.
Operatives seized five grams of suspected shabu valued at P34,000 and P567 in marked money.
The operations in Hinigaran, Manapla and Sipalay City further led to the arrest of three drug suspects, and the recovery of about five grams of suspected shabu worth P35,000.
All the arrested suspects are now locked up in jail. | GPB
