Outdoor theme park Magikland in Silay City, Negros Occidental, will re-open Dec. 18 after the swab test results of key employees involved in contact tracing efforts turned out to be negative for COVID-19, its president and chief executive officer Reynaldo Bantug announced today (Dec. 14).
Bantug said that Magikland will resume operations on Dec. 18 and will continue daily until January 3 next year, in celebration of the yuletide season.
He assured the Magikland patrons of their safety, as the park is disinfected on a regular basis, as he encouraged visitors to wear masks,observe physical distancing and frequent washing of hands.
The theme park was closed from Dec. 11 to 13 after one of its park ride attendants was tested positive for COVID- 19, which initial investigations of Magikland showed the employee was exposed to the virus outside the premises of the park.
But no guests were exposed to the patient since the employee came in contact with other staff of Magikand during non-operating days, according to the management.
The rate on Dec. 18 will be P150 for park entrance and shows, and P520 for all the rides, including park entrance and shows.
From Dec 19 to Jan. 3 next year, the park entrance and shows will be at P250, and for all the rides, park entrance and shows will remain at P520, the management said on its issued advisory.*GB
