Employees of the Provincial Government of Negros Occidental are expected to resume their 5-day work schedule at the Capitol.
Citing the reduction of COVID-19 cases in Bacolod City, Gov. Eugenio Jose Lacson said he is mulling the issuance of an executive order soon for a return to the 5-day work week.
Capitol employees are on a four-day work week, from Monday to Thursday, the past few months, following the spike in the number of COVID-19 cases in Bacolod City.
Bacolod City Health Office data showed, COVID-19 cases locally went down from an average of 50 cases daily in September to just 25 in the last weeks of October, until the present.
The decrease in the COVID-19 cases was attributed to the establishment of the Emergency Operations Center by Inter Agency Task Force Visayas chief implementer retired Gen. Melquiades Feliciano. – GPB
