Negros Occidental Third District Board Member Manuel Frederick Ko yesterday announced his intention to run for a partylist congressional post in the May 2025 mid-term elections.

Ko, who is serving his third and last term, said he will be the first nominee of Abang Lingkod partylist group currently represented by fellow Negrense Stephen Joseph Paduano, who will also complete his term next year.

Ko said that he has the “blessings” of Paduano and political ally Bacolod City Mayor Alfredo Abelardo Benitez.
