The Negros Cultural Foundation Inc. will lead the online launching this afternoon, Nov. 29, of two cultural initiatives in celebration of the richness of heritage, cuisine, arts, and culture of the Visayas.
“Kanami: A Treasure Trove Worth Experiencing”, and “Baul: A Digital Diversity of Culture” are two initiatives from the Cultural Center of the Philippines Kaisa sa Sining Visayas network, facilitated by the CCP Cultural Exchange Department, in partnership with the Negros Museum and the Negros Cultural Foundation (NCF) Inc.
“Kanami” is a collection of videos and a monograph capturing and celebrating the vibrant Visayan arts, culture, and cuisines, designed to document and promote these invaluable traditions, the NCF said in a statement.
“Baul”, meanwhile, is a web archive preserving Visayan artistic expressions and creative outputs, showcasing video recordings, photographs, performance documentation, manuscripts, and a directory of talented Visayan artists.
