The leading beauty camp and queen makers in the country, Aces and Queens, conducted a three-day pageant boot camp for the 12 Kadalag-an Queen (KQ) candidates of Victorias City at the Victorias Aquatic Center pavilions I & II.
Among those who trained the candidates, from Feb. 23-25, were Miss Supranational 2023 1st runner-up Pauline Amelinckx, Miss Universe Philippines 2020 4th runner-up Billie Hakenson, and Miss Supranational Philippines 2022 Alison Black.
They focused on developing the candidates’ skills in question and answer, pasarela, and health and fitness, the city said in a press release Feb. 29.
The candidates are Ammeline Alegarbes, Kathleen Makinano, Micaella Sigua, Wincy Kate Beral, Chrisha Mae Perje, Jada Biaxyl Celeste, Shane Chavez, Elvie Mae Barrios, Noveh Mae Ocag, Regeena Yzabiel Dela Cruz, BG Da-anoy, and Maricel Barrientos.
As part of the Beauty Camp Caravan for 2024, Gerry Diaz, the head of Aces and Queens, shared valuable insights during his Personality Development session with the candidates.
Other mentors include managing director at Culture Salon MNL and head make-up artist Jim Ryan Ros, liaisons manager Mikee Andrei, make-up mentor and operations manager Raymund Galang, and fashion stylist Yeoh Egwaras.
They discussed topics on talent management, basic make-up, styling, and modeling.
The boot camp was graced by Mayor Javier Miguel Benitez, head of the KQ Committee Joy Famini, and Team Acids production manager Ferdie Limsiaco.
For the first time, the pre-pageant night will be held at the activity center of the Sidlak Victorias Global City on March 21, while the grand coronation night will take place at the Victorias City Coliseum on March 22. | VC-PIO photos
