Indian bizman injured in shooting incident

An Indian businessman survived an attempt on his life during a shooting incident in Sagay City, Negros Occidental on the night of Jan. 12.

The 44-year-old victim, whose identity is being withheld by the police, was shot by one of the two unidentified assailants while entering his rented apartment on board a motorcycle in Barangay 1 Poblacion, initial investigation showed.

He is being treated for a wound in his left leg at a private hospital in Bacolod City, and is now in stable condition, according to a report of the Sagay City police.

The motive of the shooting incident is still being investigated by the police. | GB
