A 14-year-old boy died, while his two companions, who are also minors, were injured, during a vehicular accident at about 1:30 a.m. of Jan. 1 along Araneta Street in Barangay Tangub, Bacolod City.
Initial police investigations showed that a north-bound Nissan Navarra Calibre vehicle driven by a 17-year-old, whose identity is being withheld, with two passengers on board, accidentally hit the center island of the area.
The vehicle flipped over to the opposite lane resulting to the death of the 14-year-old passenger. The driver and another 15-year-old passenger were also injured, the police said.
All three victims are residents of Greenplains Subdivision, Barangay Singcang Airport, Bacolod City.
The vehicle was in total wreck, the police added. — GB
