Orange Project, a cornerstone of the region’s vibrant cultural landscape, proudly announced its 20th anniversary exhibition, “Tugyan Sa Tawo: Apat Ka Dekada Nga Obra Ni Charlie Co”.
“Tugyan Sa Tawo” will be launched with tandem exhibition openings on May 20 in two locations – at The Negros Museum at 3 p.m., and The Orange Project at Art District in Mandalagan, 6 p.m.
This significant milestone not only commemorates two decades of Orange Project’s unwavering dedication to empower the local art scene, but also celebrates the remarkable 40-year artistic journey of Co, an esteemed Negrense artist.
The exhibition, curated by Boots Herrera, will showcase a collection of Co’s works, spanning four decades and representing different themes, social issues, and personal struggles and triumphs.
Attendees will have the unique opportunity to witness Co’s artistic vision and his enduring impact on the cultural narrative of Negros, Orange Project said in a statement May 9.
Orange Project continues to be a space that has championed fearless artistic expression, inspiring individuals to push the boundaries of their creativity and artistry without fear or inhibition.
“This spirit of artistic freedom is more than just a guiding philosophy; it is the driving force behind its success in shaping the region’s vibrant and evolving cultural identity,” it added.
Orange Project invites art enthusiasts and the community to join in this momentous celebration of artistic excellence and community empowerment. “This 20th anniversary exhibition emphasizes Orange Project’s continued commitment to maintaining a space where artistic expression thrives and inspires.” ||
