Golez-Gamboa tandem in Silay City confirmed

Former Silay City  Mayor  Mark Golez  confirmed on Sunday (May 26) that incumbent Councilor  Ryan Gamboa has  accepted the offer to be his running mate in  the May 2025 midterm elections.

He said that they got the endorsement of Third District Rep. Jose Francisco Benitez and Abang Lingkod partylist Rep. Stephen Joseph Paduano during a meeting also Sunday at the Negros Occidental Metro Third congressional office in Talisay City.

Golez was chosen as the Asenso Silay mayoralty candidate during the party convention held recently in Victorias City.

Negros Occidental 3rd district Rep. Jose Francisco Benitez and Abang Lingkod party list Rep. Stephen Joseph Paduano endorse the   Mark Golez-Ryan Gamboa tandem for the Silay mayoralty and vice mayoralty positions, in next year’s elections.

The Golez-Gamboa tandem came about after Vice Mayor Thomas Maynard Ledesma said that Silay City Mayor Joedith Gallego offered him to join his group.

Ledesma was the running mate of Golez, who was defeated by Gallego in the May 2022 elections.

Golez, whose mantra is “Asenso sang Silay, Asenso sang Panimalay”, vowed to “bring back the glory of Silay” in good governance to ensure the delivery of basic services to Silaynons. | GB
