Motorists will welcome July with a significant decrease in the pump prices of petroleum products, following big-time hikes last week.
The per liter price of diesel will go down by P1.80, gasoline by P1.40, and kerosene by P2.20 effective today, July 1.
Several oil companies are also implementing fuel discounts and promos to public utility vehicles (PUVs), transportation network vehicle services (TNVS), and even private motorists, per advisory from the Department of Energy.
Petro Gazz is offering outright discount for regular customers in its 50 stations in Negros and Panay islands, until further notice. To avail of a P1 to P2/L discount for diesel and gasoline, a loyalty card or PG sticker should be presented as proof that one is a regular customer.
The Byahero exclusive discount promo of Seaoil for PUV drivers, meanwhile, will start today until Sept. 2025, with a P4/L off on gas and P2/L off on diesel in its 140 stations.
Clean Fuel also has a Pasada card program until June 30, 2026, and a “Sunday Fuel Madness” for the whole year.
Petron, Shell, and Caltex, meanwhile, have continuing fuel discount programs.
PUV/PUJ drivers with super driver card could avail of P0.50/L to P3/L discount in all 413 Petron stations, while Shell and Caltex have also come up with their respective promo runs.
The DOE earlier urged oil companies to increase the number of their retail stations offering fuel discounts to the transport sector… “(as) part of broader efforts to alleviate the burden on vulnerable groups.”
Last week, oil companies implemented a staggered upward adjustment in the pump prices of petroleum products to cushion the impact on drivers, with diesel increasing by P5.20/L, gasoline by P3.50/L, and kerosene by P4.8/L. | CGC
