Maj. Gen. Efren Morados, a former commanding officer of the 62nd Infantry Battalion in Negros Occidental, has been designated the vice commander of the Philippine Army.
Prior to his present position, Morados, a member of the Philippine Military Academy (PMA) Class of 1992, served as commander of the 803rd Infantry Brigade.
He served as 62IB commander, which was then deployed in northern Negros, from 2013 to 2014.
Other PMA Class 1992 members, who used to be assigned in Negros, were Maj. Gen. Gulliver Señires, who is now the commander of the 5th Infantry Division in northern Luzon, and Brig. Gen. Eliglen Villaflor, commander of the Armed Forces of the Philippines Special Joint Operations Command.
Col. Delfin Consolacion Jr. also assumed the leadership of the 6th Regional Community Defense Group (6RCDG) in an acting capacity.
The 6RCDG is responsible for managing reserve force operations across Western Visayas region. | GB
