The Land Transportation Office-Negros Island Region (LTO-NIR) arrested alleged fixers issuing fake driver’s licenses in an entrapment operation in Bacolod City, Aug. 14.
The operation targeted illegal printing activities near the Doña Manuela Building in San Juan Street, Barangay 12.
“The operation underscores LTO-NIR’s intensified campaign against illegal activities that undermine the integrity of the licensing system and put road safety at risk,” it said.
It also warned the public against dealing with fixers, and urged motorists to transact exclusively through authorized agency channels.
“LTO-NIR reiterated that there are no shortcuts to becoming a legitimate, responsible and disciplined driver—only legal transactions and proper procedures,” the agency added. | TMD
