The E.B. Magalona pavilion at the Panaad Park in Brgy. Mansilingan, Bacolod City, has been spruced up and is ready for visitors and festival-goers when the 28th edition of the Panaad sa Negros Festival kicks off today, April 15.
Mayor Marvin Malacon is inviting everyone to visit the pavilion during the weeklong festivities.
One of its unique offerings is the “Paluto sa Saravia”, where visitors can enjoy freshly cooked seafood, such as blue crabs, tanigue/tangigue, bangus, lapu-lapu, pompano, blue marlin, lison, various shells, shrimp, talaba, and chicken inasal.
Saravia is the former name of the municipality.
The town is known for its fresh seafood, and is considered the “Blue Crab Capital of Negros Occidental”, an LGU press release said.
The lawn of the pavilion, to be used mainly for al fresco dining, features a replica of the Dabo-Dabo waterfalls found in Barangay San Isidro, a small fountain in the middle, and a replica of the facade of the Tomongtong Mangrove Eco-Trail in Barangay Tomongtong.
Around the premises are posters of Saraviahanon contestants competing in various events of the Panaad Festival.
Inside the pavilion, visitors can appreciate the amazing artworks of two homegrown artists, Raffy Berina and Sol Alejandrino.
The 28th Panaad sa Negros Festival is until April 21. ||
