Mayor Matthew Louis Malacon said he feels the need for a safer environment for children in E.B. Magalona.

“With so many challenges now confronting children, including abuse – physical or online – we have no choice, but to protect them at all costs,” he said. “Thus, it is central in my administration to have focused policies strengthening children’s protection no matter what happens.”

The SCFLG is a recognition that reflects the municipality’s broader commitment to transparency, accountability, and inclusive development, aligning with DILG standards for child-friendly governance.

“This will also motivate us to sustain and expand programs that truly benefit young people in E.B. Magalona,” Malacon said. ||
