A suspected drug peddler was arrested during a police buy-bust in Barangay 3, Bacolod City on Tuesday, June 2.
The Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) identified the suspect only by his alias “Bryan”, 23, a resident of Purok Cereza South in the said village.
During the operation, which was conducted by the City Drug Enforcement Unit, the suspect sold a sachet of shabu to an undercover police officer in exchange for P1,000 marked money.
Police recovered an estimated 140 grams of suspected shabu valued at P952,000 from the arrested suspect.
Meanwhile, a man was shot dead on Monday, June 1 by an unidentified assailant while inside a computer shop in Barangay Sum-ag, Bacolod City.
Police identified the victim by his alias “Butsoy,” 43, a resident of Purok San Miguel.
The gunman fled aboard a scooter-type motorcycle driven by an accomplice, the police said.
The victim, who succumbed to multiple gunshot injuries, was declared dead on arrival at the Bacolod South General Hospital.
Investigators recovered seven spent cartridge cases believed to be from a caliber .45 pistol and four fired bullets. | GB
