The Negros Press Club (NPC) Inc. received a check worth P500,000 from the Dr. Manuel S. Lo Foundation, through Ian Manuel T. Lo, president of Negros Grace Pharmacy, in a ceremony held at the NPC building April 19.

The financial assistance was a fulfillment of the promise made by Lo during the 88th induction of officers and oath-taking of new members held at SMX Convention Center Bacolod on April 6.

Lo turned over the check to NPC president Erwin “Ambo” Delilan, in the presence of other club officers.

The donation will be utilized for various programs and projects that will benefit both regular and associate members of the oldest press club in the Philippines.

Lo and his brother, Jonathan Lo of Merzci Pasalubong, also gave P2,000 worth of gift certificates to each of the 160 regular and associate members.

The distribution of the gift certificates started during the Media Night held at the Pana-ad Park and Stadium on April 20, on the occasion of the 28th Pana-ad Festival.

“We say thank you to Mr. Ian Lo for the cash donation and the gift certificates. We express our heartfelt thanks for his kindness and generosity to the NPC,” Delilan said.

Delilan awarded a certificate of appreciation to Lo, acknowledging his assistance to the club officers and members, and partnership with the NPC. ||
