For the first time in more than three months, the pump prices of petroleum products will decrease, effective tomorrow, April 14.
President Ferdinand Marcos Jr., in a video message last night via the Presidential Communications Office (PCO) FB page, said that diesel will decrease by P20.89 per liter, gasoline by P4.43/L, and kerosene by P8.50/L.

He admitted that the rollback, the first since 14th straight week of price hikes for diesel and kerosene, and the 13th for gasoline, since the start of this year, will not be enough to ease the burden on drivers and households.
Diesel and kerosene prices already breached the P150 per liter mark, as of April 7, following a series of double-digit increases due to the steep rise in global oil prices amid tensions in the Middle East.
Gasoline prices also peaked at P100 per liter, depending on the station and the location.
Marcos said the government will continue to help Filipinos amid the high fuel costs and its impact on households. | CGC
