COVID patient jumps to death from hospital

A COVID-19 patient was reported by the police to have allegedly committed suicide, by jumping from the 5th floor of the Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital (CLMMRH) in Bacolod City Jan. 24.

The 68-year-old male patient from Brgy. Estefania, Bacolod City, was declared dead when his body was retrieved by hospital personnel, at the edge of the roof of the hospital’s water treatment facility building.

The police said hospital guard Emmanuel Tobola heard a loud crash before the body was discovered.

Scene of the Crime operatives were requested by the Bacolod City Police Office to process the crime scene, but it did not push through when they discovered that the victim was COVID-19 positive. | GB
