A couple both in their 60’s died in a strafing incident April 15 in Sitio Mansulao, Brgy. San Isidro, Toboso, Negros Occidental.
The Toboso police identified the victims as Leonardo Lagada, 60, and his live-in partner, Miguela Hedorio, 65.
Initial police investigations showed that four unidentified armed men were looking for Lagada and told him out to go out of his house.
Lagada, however, ignored the armed men and locked their home, the police said.
The suspects then opened fire on the house, killing Hedorio. Lagada managed to go out of the house despite his injuries, but died several meters away, police investigations further showed.
Recovered at the scene of incident were 37 fired cartridges of calibers 5.56mm and 7.62 mm, nine fired cartridges of caliber 45 and 9mm pistols, four assorted live ammunition, and a slug of 45 caliber pistol./GB
