Coronica named new BCPO chief

PCol. Joeresty Coronica has been appointed as chief of the Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) effective July 23.

He succeeded PCol. Noel Aliño, who has been assigned to head the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group-National Capital Region.

Coronica previously served the BCPO as among its station commanders and was the chief of the Iloilo City Police Office (ICPO) for two years before taking over the helm of the BCPO.

Coronica, who also served as the police chief of Silay City in Negros Occidental, is the only ICPO chief given recognition by Mayor Jerry Treñas, through an executive order, as the adopted son of Iloilo City.

PCol. Kim Legada replaced Coronica as the ICPO chief. | GB
