P3.8M health station, daycare center inaugurated

Two newly-completed projects, worth P2.8 million, were inaugurated Sept. 15 in Brgy. Punao, San Carlos City in Negros Occidental.

Mayor Renato Gustilo led officials in the formal opening of the renovated health station in Sitio Mag-amihan, worth P2,284,000, and the daycare center in Sitio Hagonoy, amounting to P1,540,000, both funded by the city government.

Engr. Rexter Nemenzo of the City Engineering Department handled the projects. The rehabilitation of the health station was completed Sept. 15 while the daycare center finished construction on Feb. 29, 2021, a press release from the city said.

Rev. Fr. Ricky Deboso of the St. Jude Thaddeus Mission Station in Brgy. 1 officiated in the blessing of the two facilities.

The event was attended by Sangguniang Panlungsod Members Benito Gustilo, Mark Cui, and Carlos Manuel Valmayor, Barangay Punao Captain Sofronio Senador and kagawads, City Social Welfare and Development officer Cynthia Mirande, Raymond Rigor – CSR officer of Aboitiz Power, nurse supervisor Rowena Sabangan of the City Health Office and barangay health workers. —
