Seven drug suspects were arrested while P952,000 worth of suspected shabu were seized by operatives of the City Drug Enforcement Unit in two buy-busts in Bacolod City on Dec. 27.
According to the Bacolod City Police Office, two of the arrested suspects are categorized as high-value individual drug personalities.
In Purok Lubi, Barangay 3, the six suspects were identified through their aliases “Mark”, 40, a resident of Barangay Sampinit, Bago City; “Leo”, 48, Barangay 3, Bacolod City; “Clint”, 23, and “Aaron”, 19, both of Silay City; “RL”, 32, Eroreco, Bacolod City; and “Rodart”, 47, Barangay Guinhalaran, Silay City.
Operatives recovered about 80 grams of suspected shabu valued at P544,000.
Alias “Christopher”, 29, was arrested in a buy-bust at Purok Tahong, Barangay 2.
The operation led to the recovery of 60 grams of suspected shabu valued at P408,000.
On Dec. 26, the arrest of alias “Jojo” at Sitio Binalawan in Barangay Balicotoc, Ilog, Negros Occidental yielded 1.3 grams of suspected shabu amounting to P8,840 and a caliber .38 revolver with three ammunition.
In Binalbagan, the police seized 80 grams of suspected shabu worth P544,000 from a member of the Bugalon Drug Group and his companion involved in a road crash along the national highway of Barangay San Teodoro on Dec. 25.
While on board a Toyota Wigo, “Anthon,” 35, and “Phil,” 26, both residents of Barangay 2, Kabankalan City, hit a mango tree.
When policemen responded, they ran away and boarded a tricycle. However, they were arrested at Crossing Bag-o, Barangay San Jose, Binalbagan.
At the police station, policemen checked their black backpack, leading to the recovery of illegal drugs.
All the arrested drug suspects are facing charges for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. | GB
