Two women were arrested in separate buy-busts in Bacolod City in the past two days that yielded an estimated P544,000 worth of suspected shabu, police reports showed.
Operatives of the City Drug Enforcement Unit arrested alias “Tisha”, a school administrative staff, at Purok Masinulondon, Barangay Punta Taytay on Wednesday (July 23).
The apprehension of the 34-year-old suspect resulted in the confiscation of about 50 grams of suspected shabu valued at P340,000.
On Tuesday, alias “Sherry” was arrested in a joint operation of Police Station 7 and Regional Intelligence Unit-Negros Island Region at Purok Kabugwason in Barangay Mansilingan.
Her arrest yielded an estimated 30 grams of suspected shabu worth P240,000.
Both suspects are now locked up in jail as charges for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 are being readied against them. | GB
