Cops seize P1.3M in shabu, guns seized

Policemen confiscated P1.3 million worth of suspected shabu and an unlicensed gun with ammunition in Bacolod City and Negros Occidental, that also resulted in the arrest of a 53-year-old woman and her twin sons, along with four other drug suspects.

Armed with a search warrant issued by Judge Cyclamen Fernandez, a team of policemen under the supervision of P/Lt. Col. Lowell Garinganao raided the residence of Leovic Conejos, alias Boy Boy, in Purok Paghida-et Brgy. RSB, La Carlota City, Nov. 26.

The raid yielded a homemade 12 gauge shotgun with six live ammunition, five ammunition for a 7.62 mm and caliber 38 revolver, and three sachets of suspected shabu and its paraphernalia, police records show.

The apprehension of Delvie Rodrigues Nov. 25 in Purok Baybayon, Brgy Guinhalaran, Silay City, Negros Occidental, also yielded an estimated 25 grams of suspected shabu, with a market value of P190,400, police said.

Another drug suspect, identified as Gilbert Dimson, was arrested with P13,600 worth of illegal drugs. He was nabbed in a buy-bust operation Nov. 26 in Purok Magbinuligay, Brgy. Bata, Bacolod City.

The buy-bust operation in Brgy. 1A, Manapla Saturday led to the arrest of Steve Silava, alias Tata, and the recovery of about 15 grams of suspected shabu, with a market value of P1,054,000, marked money of P1,000, and P250 in cash.

The apprehension of Memar Diopeta and her twin sons, Wowwie and Wendel, Nov. 25 in another buy-bust operation in Purok Sigay, Brgy. 2, Bacolod City, yielded about 20 grams of suspected shabu, with a market value of P136,000, P500 in marked money, and P400 in cash, the police said.

Policemen also arrested Joebert Villegas in Brgy. Cabagnaan, La Castellana, Negros Occidental, for illegal possession of firearm.

His apprehension yielded an improvised caliber 38 pistol without ammunition./GB
