He now leads the field of bodybuilding in the province of Negros Occidental, and is recognized as one of the top athletes in the Philippines.
He proudly brought home two gold medals and two silver wins from MCFit Worlds Classic Philippines, a national bodybuilding and men’s physique competition held in Tanghalang Pasigueño in Pasig City April 26-27.
Coach Marvin bagged the champion trophies in the Men’s Physique Open and Men’s Classic Physique Master; and silver medals in the Men’s Bodybuilding Master and Men’s Physique Master.
At the Fitman 2.0 competition at Robinsons Place Bacolod, he was named champion in the Men’s Bodybuilding 70kg below, second runner-up in the Men’s Physique Short category, and third runner-up in the Men’s Classic Physique Novice.
“When I stepped on stage, I told myself to just go for it. I wanted to show what I’m capable of and I put my trust in the Lord,” Marvin said.
With his sights set on the future, he aims to harvest more gold medals in the months to come, showcasing his unwavering dedication and determination.
He is preparing for an upcoming competition in Cebu, where he aims to once again showcase the story of his journey, from a janitor to a champion athlete, inspiring countless others along the way.
“The transformation is within our reach, it depends on you, it depends on your discipline,” said Marvin, who serves as a beacon of hope and motivation for anyone striving to achieve their dreams against all odds.
FITNESS TRAINER
As a leading fitness trainer in Negros Occidental, coach Marvin shares his knowledge not only about fitness but also about lifestyle shifts, and coping with depression through exercise.
“Fitness knows no age limit, even if you’re old. We need to exercise every day. A good mood and detoxifying our bodies are especially important in this heat,” Marvin stressed.
In addition to coaching duties, Marvin serves as head trainer of Fitness Ground, a newly-established gym in Murcia, Negros Occidental. Despite his busy schedule, he continues to see many clients at Millennials Fitness Center in Bacolod City on a daily basis.
“Life is a journey of challenges and triumphs. It’s not about how many times you fall, but how many times you get back up,” Marvin reflected, his voice resonating with the strength of a champion.
Because of his inspiring story, Marvin has continuously been supported by various groups and fitness establishments, like Get Wheysted Supplements Center in Bacolod City, further fueling his mission to inspire others and spread the message of hope and perseverance.
