Three employees of the Kabankalan City government lost their jobs after testing positive during a random drug testing on July 9.

Mayor Benjie Miranda said on Tuesday (July 16) that he decided not to renew the employment of three job order and casual employees assigned at the City Social Welfare and Development Office.

Almost 300 city employees were subjected to random drug testing.

Miranda said that he will not tolerate the illegal act of any employee, stressing that he already gave them a chance to mend their acts.

He also bared his plan to conduct another random drug testing to ensure a drug-free Kabankalan City government. | GB
