Young children, aged 12-and-below, from Digos, Davao del Sur during their light moment when the Philippine Sports Commission-organized Children’s Games were held in the area two years ago.

The Children’s Games is the only government-led sports and youth development program in the world to have been recognized by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization or, UNESCO, PSC Chairman William Ramiez, said.

In 2017, UNESCO lauded the unique features of the Children’s Games as the event promotes not only sporting culture among young Filipinos but also serves as a vehicle to advance peace in southern Philippines as well as preserve truly Pinoy sports played by youngsters. ETL
