CENECO powers up Negros food terminal

The Central Negros Electric Cooperative Inc. powered up the three 167kVA transformers that will supply electricity in the newly-renovated Negros First Food Terminal, or the “Pala Pala Market”, at North Capitol Road and San Juan Street, Bacolod City Dec. 6.

CENECO Board president Jojit Yap and director Robert Javellana were on hand to oversee the energization process, along with CENECO UEOMD manager, Engr. Jose Taniongon, MCISD chief Unice Castillon, Engr. Joecel Campantero, and Engr. Paul Castillon with the technical crew.

Negros Occidental Provincial Engineer Ernie Mapa was also present at the site together with his technical team to provide assistance.

Meanwhile, CENECO said a 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. brownout will affect Villa Celia Subdivision in Brgy. Taculing, Bacolod City on Dec. 7.

It said that maintenance activities will be conducted to ensure the stability of distribution lines, including the replacement of rotten wood poles and tree clearing operations. | NND
