The Negros Occidental provincial government has accelerated the modernization of its government-run hospitals with the full Information technology (IT) operationalization of the new Emergency Room (ER) of the Teresita Lopez Jalandoni Provincial Hospital (TLJPH) in Silay City.
Provincial Administrator Rayfrando Diaz II, who is the concurrent head of the Hospital Operations Department, said the new ER is equipped with essential connectivity, hardware and digital systems designed to improve hospital operations and patient services.
Among the systems now in place are the IHOMIS+, One Hospital Command, ER Claims and Patient Information System, which are intended to streamline information management and facilitate faster and more efficient delivery of healthcare services.
Diaz said the modernization also includes a Central Monitoring System, which is now fully operational at the ER.
The system allows healthcare personnel at the nurses’ station to monitor patients’ vital signs in real time, providing medical staff with immediate access to critical patient information and strengthening monitoring and response inside the ER.
The IT-enabled ER forms part of the provincial government’s continuing efforts to modernize its hospital facilities and improve the delivery of healthcare services to Negrenses. | GPB
