If you are an APOR or, an authorized person outside of residence planning to go to Cadiz City, here are some protocols you need to strictly comply with before you will be allowed entry by the local government unit.
In Executive Order No. SGE 043-2020, which takes effect from Oct. 30 until Nov. 30, Mayor Salvador Escalante, Jr. said APORs bound for the northern port city must submit a medical certificate or medical clearance issued by the city or municipal health officer of their place of origin, a travel authority issued by the Joint Task Force COVID Shield under the Philippine National Police and a negative RT-PCR test valid for seven days after the release of result.
The EO, Escalante further said, also requires APORs to submit a mission or travel order to Cadiz City, and a certificate of acceptance from the LGU.
They must also undergo a 14-day quarantine upon arrival in a facility designated for the purpose or upon the release of a negative RT-PCR test result whichever is shorter.
The rising number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Cadiz City at 288 as of Oct. 29 is a compelling reason to impose the new protocols for APORs, Escalante said.
The regional IATF also recently approved the request made by Cadiz City for a five-day moratorium on the entry of locally-stranded individuals or LSIs to the LGU, from Nov. 2-6.
The towns of Manapla and Binalbagan also moved to ban the entry of LSIs temporarily.
Escalante advised APORs with travel plans to Cadiz to coordinate with the LGU, at least, seven days ahead to allow the city IATF to validate barangay clearance, arrange pick up at port of entry and accomodation at government-designated facilities for mandatory 14-day quarantine as well as prepare certificate of acceptance.
So that APORs will be guided accordingly, APORs must inquire before the IATF for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases in their areas if the national and local travel restrictions apply to them.
Escalante told APORs to submit their documents to Bilis Cadiz Ugyon Cadiznon Facebook Page or, they may contact mobile numbers 0939 563 5252 or 0905 214 6214.
