A Book Nook Project Site in Barangay 5, Kabankalan City, was launched Oct. 19 with the staff from the project proponent and implementer, the National Book Development Board, attending the event.

Established to inspire reading communities all over the country, the Book Nook Project creates reading spaces for all ages with books written by Filipino authors.

“For 2021, there are now 52 Book Nook sites in the Philippines, including those in the cities of Kabankalan and Himamaylan in Negros Occidental,” said Area Coordinator Rudy Reveche.
