House Minority Leader Stephen Joseph Paduano commits to massively campaign for Senator Christopher Lawrence “Bong” Go, the PDP Laban vice presidential aspirant in the May 2022 elections.
Paduano, who represents the Abang Lingkod partylist, said the group has endorsed Go for vice presidential.
Paduano posted on the Facebook page of Abang Lingkod that he can attest to the fact that Go “didn’t waste any opportunity in his capacities to deliver numerous programs and projects for Bacolodnon and Negrenses”.
He cited the multi-million hospitalization assistance downloaded to the regional, provincial and district hospitals, as far as Hinobaan in the south and San Carlos Hospital in the north, the establishment of Malasakit centers, numerous infrastructure projects, and several other social services, including the TUPAD program distributed across Bacolod City and the province.
While some candidates only visit Negros island during the election time, Paduano said that Go has been “our strong and consistent fortress in ensuring public service for Bacolodnons and Negrenses”.
“His common touch, listening artistry, and responsive service make him our strong partner as Abang Lingkod Partylist continues to reach more communities, and more families to serve,” he added.
Vice-Gov. Jeffrey Ferrer said Saturday that about 500 vehicles joined the caravan in support of Go in Negros Occidental Nov. 6.
Its organizers expected only 200 vehicles.
The caravan, organized by Ferrer, Paduano, and former Rep. Alfredo Benitez, was participated in by vehicles from the 2nd and 3rd districts in the north, the 4th and 5th districts in the south, and those from Bacolod City.
He added that the caravan of support aims to thank Go for his projects that provide medical assistance to the poor, and financial aid to indigents and displaced workers in Negros Occidental.
The vehicles, decorated with Bong Go tarpaulins, converged at the Panaad Park in Bacolod City. — GB
