The staging of the 2025 Small Business Corporation (SBCorp) Roadshow in Bacolod City June 23 was successful, the Department of Local Economic Development and Investment Promotions (D-LEDIP), headed by Frances Mae Llamas, said.
The roadshow brought together owners of micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSME) from various sectors in a program at the lobby of the Government Center that was also attended by city officials.
It was highlighted by the ceremonial signing of the memorandum of agreement between SBCorp and the city government of Bacolod, and the awarding of grants to selected businesses that applied under SBCorp’s on-the-spot loan assistance programs.

Organized by the city government, through D-LEDIP, in partnership with the Department of Trade and Industry, and SBCorp, the event featured a comprehensive presentation of SBCorp’s loan products and application processes, with dedicated assistance tables set up to cater to interested business owners onsite.
“The roadshow stands as a testament to the strong and continuing partnership between the LGU and SBCorp, serving as a vital platform for empowering local enterprises and promoting inclusive economic growth,” the D-LEDIP said in a statement.
In attendance were incoming mayor Greg Gasataya, incoming vice mayor Kalaw Puentevella, Councilor Celia Flor, SBCorp president and chief executive officer Robert Bastillo and Visayas Group head Francisco Buenavidez, and MBCCI president, Atty. Juliana Carbon, among others. ||
