A bigger show of force for Vice President Leni Robredo is eyed on November 5 when she and her running mate, Senator Francisco Pangilinan, are set to visit Bacolod City and Negros Occidental.

The Laban Leni Negros Occidental group will work hand in hand with the Negros for Leni supporters, led by former Gov. Rafael Coscolluela, who planned the activities during the al Cinco de Noviembre visit.

Atty. Pinky Mirano-Ocampo, spokesperson for LLNO, said the show of force displayed Saturday through a long caravan has sent a message to many, who were just silent and waiting to join another round of activity.

She said around 500 vehicles, including motorcycle riders and pedicab drivers, joined the caravan. MassKara dancers and drum beaters added fun and excitement to the event that was held simultaneously in major areas across the country.

Supporters of VP Leni, coming from as far as Hinobaan, Sipalay, and Kabankalan in the south, and a lot more from the northern part of Negros Occidental joined the caravan, Mirano-Ocampo said.

The group was also able to raise funds for a giant “Leni and Kiko 2022” billboard, she added.

The group will discuss plans for the Negros Day visit of Robredo and Pangilinan, who are expected to meet with different sectors of society and attend the opening of the “Leni for President” headquarters along Hernaez-Lacson Streets in Bacolod. — MML
