“Beyond Sugar”, a group exhibition by the Camera Club of Negros, will be held from Jan. 10 to 31 at The Negros Museum in Bacolod City.
It will feature the works of Aeson Baldevia, Francis Villanueva, Olympus Gene Tibubos, Arthur Yap, Jade Paul Morin, Rafael Tan, Billy Lopue, Jesse Narrazo, Raymund Sugay, Bob Lacson, Nicky Ledesma, Renzi Juarez, Dennis Tan Yu, and John Kimwell Laluma.
“Beyond Sugar” invites viewers to journey past sugarcane fields and into the heart of Negros, where layers of beauty, resilience, and complexity await discovery, The Negros Museum said in a post Jan. 3.
“Through this collection, we invite you to connect with the spirit of Negros. Allow the works to draw you into its landscapes, where nature and architecture intertwine. Witness the vibrant life that thrives beyond the fields, and feel the pulse of its industries and the stories of its people,” it added.
“Beyond Sugar” is a celebration and a reintroduction, urging viewers to see Negros through a multifaceted lens. It is an invitation to appreciate the province not just for its sugar but for its soul. Each image is a doorway into a narrative waiting to unfold, a chance to see Negros anew. ||
