The Bacolod City Police Office, under the leadership of P/Col. Thomas Joseph Martir, joins the Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office in vying for a national award in line with the 121st Police Service Anniversary next month.
BCPO is vying for the award as best City Police Office nationwide, said Martir, while the NOCPPO, under the command of P/Col. Leo Pamittan, competes for the best Provincial Police Office award.
The Zamboanga CPO and Naga City Police Office are also vying for the best City Police Office award.
In 2019, the Zamboanga CPO, under the leadership of Martir, was adjudged as Best City Police Office all over the country.
Members of the evaluation team from Camp Crame, led by P/Brig. Gen. Constancio Chinayog, visited the BCPO headquarters on July 25 and 26 and conducted the Field Evaluation and Validation.
On the other hand, Pamittan was adjudged yesterday as outstanding PCAD (Police Community Affairs Development) Senior Police Officer for 2022 in Western Visayas, during the culmination ceremony for the 27th Police Community Relations Month celebration, held at Camp Martin Delgado in Iloilo City.
At the provincial level, P/Lt. Col, Joem Malong, Bago City police chief, was adjudged as outstanding PCAD Junior Police Commission Officer, PEMS Antonietta Loraez as outstanding PCAD Senior PCO;
P/SSgt. Art Evan Margallo as outstanding PCAD Junior PNCO, and the Manapla Police Station and Bago City Police Station as outstanding municipal and city police stations, respectively, for the period of May 2021 to April this year.
Remelie Bisquera Teton and Felix Yusay Foundation Inc. were also cited by the NOCPPO for the PCAD programs and projects that contributed to its overall peace and development initiatives in Negros Occidental, during the awarding rites held at Camp Alfredo Montelibano Sr. in Bacolod City./GB
