The Bago City Health Office Clinical Laboratory has been licensed to operate as Rapid HIV Diagnostic Algorithm (rHIVda) confirmatory laboratory.
Bago City is the first local government unit in Negros Occidental to be certified and accredited as rHIVda confirmatory laboratory.
The facility aims to reduce the turnaround time for HIV confirmatory results so that positive clients can immediately be linked to treatment and care, the city said.
CHO head, Dr. Ferdinand Ramon Mayoga, with Dr. Ceander Rosquillo and medical technologist Glenly Casona, presented to Mayor Nicholas Yulo the license to operate recently. ||
