Bago cops probe slay of tricycle driver

The Bago City Police Station is still investigating the killing of a tricycle driver, reportedly by his passenger, in Barangay Maao, Bago City Monday afternoon.

P/Lt. Joseph Jaro, deputy for operations of the BCPS, identified the victim as Rex Palma of Purok Riverside, and a roving tricycle driver in the barangay.

Initial police investigations showed that Palma might have picked up the suspect on the way to Barangay Mailum but when they reached an unpopulated portion in Purok Paho, the passenger shot him in the head. Palma was declared dead on arrival at the Bago City Hospital.

The police was informed that an unidentified person was looking for Palma, but Jaro said the victim was not a drug personality.

Palma’s wife also told the police she did not know of any enemy or persons who may have disagreements with her husband.
