The resolution, authored by Councilor Em Ang, said that Eevo Geocadin, Ethan Chavez, and Zane Olivo each won a gold medal, Davon Pecha bagged the silver, and Joshua Deita took home a bronze in the taekwondo event that was participated in by almost 600 athletes.

The feat earned by these student-athletes, under the tutelage of world-class taekwondo coach, Vic Feria, of Hanah Taekwondo Gym in Barangay Villamonte, gives pride and honor to Bacolod City, the resolution, approved during the SP session this afternoon, July 19, said, adding the medalists serve as role models worthy of emulation by other young athletes.

“The SP joins the whole city in congratulating these medalists on their triumph on the national stage,” Ang said, noting that more than 7,000 student-athletes joined this year’s national PRISAA./CGC
