Regular employees of the Bacolod City government will receive their year-end bonus within this month, coinciding with their regular payroll, Mayor Greg Gasataya said Nov. 4.

Under Department of Budget and Management (DBM) guidelines, qualified regular city employees are entitled to a year-end bonus equivalent to one month’s basic salary.

The city is also awaiting the updated guidelines from the DBM regarding the gratuity pay for job order (JO) workers.

“As we always do every year, the city gives gratuity pay to JO workers,” Gasataya said. “We will just wait for the guidelines from the national government because that will be our basis.”

He noted that these guidelines will serve as basis in determining which JO personnel qualify for incentives, taking into account the length of service and other factors.

While the exact amount for the gratuity pay this year has not been finalized, JOs received P7,000 last year. | TMD
