The Bacolod City government has set aside P2 million as financial assistance to typhoon-hit areas in Bicol and Northern Luzon.
The assistance was approved by members of the City Disaster Risk Reduction Management Council in a meeting held Thursday, Nov. 19, at the Bacolod Government Center.
DRRM cluster head Joemarie Vargas said Mayor Evelio Leonardia, chair of the CDRRMC announced that the amount will be coursed through the League of Cities of the Philippines.
Leonardia is president of the LCP.
It is up for the League to divide the amount to different areas hit by typhoons “Rolly” and “Ulysses”
